My blandness is of a sticky sharp flavour, it's snowing, and so I meme.

I found it funny that the name meme found its way onto my flist about two hours after I'd gone and changed my titles. I find a lot of things funny. Anyway.

My journal title is, as of yesterday (& until further notice), "there was no beneath the surface". (No subtitle, mainly because I don't really like the way they look on the userinfo page, which, I think, is just as valid a reason not to have a subtitle as any.) My friendspage is titled, as of yesterday, "these ice-planet pretties". Both phrases are from a short review of The Human League's Dare in the Essential Synth Pop article by Jon Dolan in the March issue of Spin, simply because "Don't You Want Me" is the one true song of my heart. Or maybe because I wanted something new and had no better ideas at the time, which is a nice explanation in that way where you can pretty much apply it to absolutely everything else I do, too.

Until yesterday, the titles were, respectively, "badly applied terminology" and "twenty short exercises in some kind of transtextuality", which should be fairly self-evident in meaning (and back-ground), though I was never sure whether the fifteen different levels of self-mockery behind them were noticeable or not. I assume not, because clearly even I can't articulate more than seven or eight of them.

I haven't the faintest recollection of what the titles were before that, and it irritates me a lot.

If I were really brave, my journal title would be "journal" and my friendspage title "friendspage", because all these titles and themes, really. If you can pull them off, good for you, great for you, and more fun for us, but it's not really very me (right now). But I'm also not brave. And the synth pop article amused me. And references to superficiality always amuse me.

My username is leksa because I'm really, really boring.
