Friday five (gacked from [livejournal.com profile] mazily) although it's technically Saturday already.

if you owned a restaurant, what kind of food would you serve?

All vegetarian. yummy and occasionally deep-fried and spicy vegetarian. Plus the longest list of desserts. and wine.

if you owned a small store, what kind of merchandise would you sell?

I've always wanted a record store, but I don't think I'd have the requisite cool for it, and tacky lawn ornaments just don't fit in a small store, so. either 2nd-hand books (textbooks?) or typewriter ware.

if you wrote a book, what genre would it be?

Self-involved Postmodern Oh-that's-so-'90s Wank. It's a genre, look it up.

Or non-fiction.

if you ran a school, what would you teach?

Again, I've always wanted to imagine myself as a sorts of Miss Brodie (though slightly less with the fascist leanings) teaching a bunch of hand-picked girls everything Important about Art, Life and Romance - but since I don't really see that actually happening, I'm gonna say lounging on the ground and looking at the clouds and avoiding homework and getting your grammar right. yup, that's it, I think. Grammar and spelling. though not English. and how to use a library.

if you recorded an album, what kind of music would be on it?

Spoken word (by which I mean something along the lines of me reading my lj entries out loud) over experimental low-tech beats (by which I mean something along the lines of "pre-programmed bossa-nova from my old electric piano meets kitchen counter drummed with a spatula"), with a cappella cover versions of Beatles songs in between.

That being said - I would pay money for an album of other lj-ers reading their entries out loud over, well, any pre-programmed electric piano beats of their choosing. Seriously, I'm sure it'd be the perfect cd to listen to in bed at night, just before falling asleep.

So now you know what I want for my birthday this year.
