what it feels like for a fan
Aug. 19th, 2002 07:16 pmThose really bad eps of Buffy, you know? You know how you sometimes really need to watch them? Because (you're suddenly panicking) you haven't been watching them as often as the other eps and there might be something you've forgotten. Like Xander's spontaneous Angel appreciation moment in Teacher's Pet? Or, in Ted, the Freud dance? Or, in Some Assembly Required - yeah, what does SAR have, anyway? See? You've forgotten. And so you sit there and watch SAR, and go "Wow, this really is as bad as I remembered", and "Since I'm watching Buffy anyway, I could have just as well spent the time on The Pack or Lie To Me or Restless".
And yet you feel oddly satisfied. Accomplished.
Could this be the thing they call Love?

I like old eps... just for the nostalgia of it all. (I'm watching old XF eps at the moment too. Scully has uber breasts in "One Breath"... Not that I'm you know, giving this sort of thing too much thought...).
(I don't, but I'm trying to collect data for the analysis.)

Do you know what it feels like in this world?
