That flight control guy from Airplane!, the one who picked the wrong week to stop doing every drug known to mankind - been on my mind lately. Personally I've been picking the wrong week to quit smoking, because naturally I couldn't the week my computer died, I couldn't the week reality wore multi-coloured spandex, I certainly couldn't the week I'm writing my seminar paper introduction. But at least I've started buying the smaller packs, which means, in effect, that I smoke as much as usual but pay more money for it. In my dreams, my parents send me strongly worded formal letters, demanding I surrender my lighters immediately, as my overly possessive relationship with them indicates my problems are more deeply rooted than I ever thought... "I never actually thought I was a smoker before I started giving it up." How's that for the mind-blowingly unsurprising statement of the week? Next week, "it's not that I can't stop, it's just that I don't really want to".

Well. I also had a dream where JC Chasez had four breasts and wore a golden bikini top. And his eyes were really very big.

Good! that you're at least trying to quit. When I get my new flat I plan on having you over asap and you really can't smoke in there. But it's not gonna happen before Summer, I guess...

The first thing you do when you get the comp back is email me, yes? After this weekend I have days off and will be aroundish.

Oh yay for new flats! good luck with that. & I'll be all smoke-free by then, honestly. And not promising nothing on comp yet (sigh) but, yes, emailing as soon as. Once I'm all done fiddling with it. :P

Don't mention it. It seemed important that we should all have a little memento of that happening town that was Greenwich (I kinda liked the place, but good luck to anyone trying to get a Grasshopper there!).
