Right. Just so we’re all clear on this – there are days when I give these flowery speeches about really being interested in the meta, in and out of Fandom. Theory over practice and other such bs. But when you scratch the surface you’ll quite probably find that what actually makes me tick is a horrid realization that I couldn’t fic my way out of a paper bag – on a good day – and that it’s. So there is a fair chance that anything and everything I ever say and do and believe and claim and prefer is not in any way connected to reality, but merely an extended attempt to make myself feel better. (Oh, and icons, should anyone give a damn. Because I thought some of them pretty, if not very original. Belle & Sebastian (yeah, I know), Smack the Pony, Gosford Park, Maggie Cheung. Keep thinking I should get Photoshop or such, and then I remember that I’d still be the Kid-Who-Never-Could-Draw With a Toy, only with a slightly better toy. Other toys, though, real toys - and a pony - I really ought to get me a pony, a little pony with a red saddle and a ribbon by its ear…)
