Oh, look, the fall term must be about to begin, since I'm already having nightmares about that awful cheerleading coach on MTV teaching me comp lit and telling me that my opinions and research are worthless ("Oh honey, everybody knows that!") and me running out of the class crying. A dream for every season.

Eternal Sunshine of the et cetera, finally, last Thursday, I think - it was good, except for the very very end, which was brilliant.

That guy's bloody scary.

I really want to see Eternal Sunshine &c. I tried to persuade my mother to come with me this evening. Her adamant refusal was rather fun; she cannot imagine Jim Carrey in a character-driven role. She's seen The Truman Show and The Majestic and she still can't see him as a character actor. For some reason I find this funny.

I have trouble seeing Jim Carrey as a character actor even after Eternal Sunshine, so I kind of understand your mother's pov - otoh, he didn't annoy me in the least during any part of the movie, so it was all good. La, la.
