yeah, you know, fandom, fandom politics, fandom this and that, blah blah blah, blah blah blah. blah, blah blah.
which, hi, hello, not a judgment on fandom as a phenomenon or anything related, just what goes through my head, some days. on the inside. that's gotta be valid on some plane of existence.
i'm starting to get desperate for new glasses (and maybe a trial set of contacts?) but 1. there isn't room in my schedule for getting my eyes checked and 2. i'm also a little bit desperate to get out of the country again for a few days if i manage to complete the current project before the july job starts, and that could maybe take all the glasses-buying money. hm. we'll see.
reading rpf, 'cest, blah blah, historical fiction. like i said to t. in s., what you might mistake for a shift in my principles during the last few years was actually just a necessary move towards consistency, hi, i'd already spent my teens reading twincest novels and thought that graphic nixon/uncle sam buttsex was great and significant literature, and nevertheless went all ewww, squick, when it came to fannish such, so i kind of sucked like that a few years ago. so i try not to do that anymore. but if you're consistently squicked by both rpfan!f and printed historical fiction featuring people who used to live once upon a long time ago, then that might be admirable in some sense.
i guess.
so the kurt cobain/river phoenix - sekrit woobielovepairing or not? debate. or, no, don't. i'm just bored.
eta: the bunch of low-quality lesbian pulp fiction covers quasi-icons (still so 2002!) again as i decided to stop angsting about them. take if you have use for them, and i'll use them if you don't. oh, and yell if i've totally copied your icon, because i may have done that, too. my conscious image memory: not so good.
