iceinyourmusic[x] m. again; documentary footage from the hospital in m-l; she's wearing a fur coat; she has a fatal kidney condition; won't you look at the poor bride, being told that she's about to die only weeks before her wedding! isn't it sad?; the camera wobbles.
[x] i've killed j., bound, gagged and blindfolded her body and dropped it down the well in the middle of the yard, and now the water's gone bad, and it occurs to me that there must be people who will try to phone her or write to her and notice that she's not answering, so i'm definitely in trouble sooner or later, and also j. is dead. i try to take it back, but she's dead, and also, down the well. they poke at the well and i consider turning myself in, but the thought of prison makes me claustrophobic.
[x] we bump into h. from school at an airport in the states, on our way home, and she wants to hide amongst our group, which we allow. only when the plane's landed does she explain that it's all because she's joined the ku klux klan; only then do i notice she's wearing a long, white, hooded robe. she hands me a kkk leaflet that's actually three yellow A4 sheets with old-fashioned type-writer print on them.
[x] i'm having breakfast with my parents. there's a cellphone on the bench next to my father. the phone starts glowing; the overhead lights flicker; father picks up the phone. the phone explodes in a burst of bright white light; the whole building goes black.
[x] i come to my parents' apartment and almost run into a nurse who's on her way to the shower, in the nurse uniform, carrying a shocking pink bathtowel. i go to the kitchen: it's full of nurses and surgeons, all in full work-gear, having coffee and chatting. they give me a quick nod and go back to ignoring me.
