May. 22nd, 2004 09:07 pmLinda Cardellini. she almost makes me want to watch ER again. Unless her character is the worst waste of screen space ever, or something? I wouldn't know.
The other day, I was thinking, I'd like to read (or write, if that were my cup of tea) a Freaks & Geeks/BtVS x-over. Lindsay the Vampire Slayer. And the guidance counselor (Mr. Rosso?) as her Watcher, and the utter embarrassment of it all. In medias res, etc. Also, since I'm all about the lame pairings these days, I think it should be Lindsay/Millie girlslash. I always thought they were kind of Meant To Be. But are there any out there already?
In other news, I need to get out of this odd headspace where everything gets to me and then I'm annoyed all the time and want to bite people's heads off. And then I try to bite their heads off, but they won't let me, and there's a struggle, and they knock off my teeth, and in the end, we're all moping, and they have teeth marks around their necks and my mouth is swollen shut. Except in a slightly more passive-aggressive way.
But, really, people, please. Do this for me. One: generalize incessantly. Instead of saying "personally, I was bored to death by The Sound and the Fury", say "I never read 20th century literature, because everything written after 1900 is stylistically awkward plotless crap". Two: add in expert opinions on things you know nothing about. Don't say "I don't want to read RPF because the thought of it gives me a squickly feeling in my tummy" or "I just don't think I can or want to get interested in stories about boybanders" - say "I never have and never will read any RPF, because it's all badly written Mary Sue PWP based on nothing but the characters they played in the movie". Three: apply the rules to everything. Please, please do this. But you'll have to excuse me if I can't give you my full attention; drinking boiling quicksilver really takes up more of my time than you'd imagine.
Om. Ommmm.
I should get some new icons, or something.
And clean the flat, dammit. It's like an obstacle course (with added dust).
