because the handgun weighs 94 dekagrams
Apr. 5th, 2004 11:52 pmThere's no limit to the lengths to which I'll go to avoid thinking about all the work I'm avoiding, so now I've seen Master and Commander. It didn't suck.
The bestest book out of the random Hungarian stack so far? The Weapons of Victory, from 1980, recommended for children over the age of ten. I'm going to learn all kinds of fascinating facts about the Soviet weapons, uniforms and means of transportation in WW2, while celebrating our glorious liberation from the clutches of fascism.
Um. their liberation. drat. we never get any of the good stuff over here, do we?
Still, the next time someone writes a Soviet WW2 AU, I'm totally your girl! In just 60 pithy pages. And then I'll move on to Blimps and Airplanes.
