Available at my whim, preferably emotionally uncomplicated and/or not needy and/or easily readable; wearing really cute glasses sometimes considered a bonus. Am occasionally frustrated, sometimes sane young woman with steady, though humble, income; enjoy Clue and The Game of Life, and consider committing DUI on bicycles, good lectures on deconstruction, and reading about the gratuitously slashy SG adventures of Jack & Daniel valid forms of foreplay. People who intend to get snippy and/or ungrateful and/or disinterested when I tell them my Noam Chomsky-anecdote need not bother.
I was planning to be terribly serious and insightful today. But then I thought, look: Here's my life. I actually made money with interpreting today. Four hours (not counting the commute, about an hour in each direction), for 3-7 people, half simultaneous, half consecutive; plus putting up with one client’s constant fussing, plus putting up with another client’s vaguely lewd comments; got 60 e, before taxes (which I’m not going to pay) and other social security payments (which I’m not going to pay) and the price of a bus ticket back home (which I did have to pay), plus taxi ride to work (but that should have been included in my bill anyway), plus hotel breakfast (but I should have gotten that anyway, because it’s the Rules) – so I don’t think I did very badly, considering that I have no formal qualifications and that said clients were actually just family friends and their relatives. (Oh, and I'm pretty sure we all understood each other for most of the time, too.) Took the money, went to shopping centre, ate at Subway, bought cd, came home, had a very long nap.
