JC Chasez, "Slow Songs"
9. she was right in the rain of the bullets that eventually brought her down: Even though I've heard this one countless times (and so have you), I really doubt I would ever be able to spot it from out-of-context lyrics alone. 12. sick and tired of trying to save the world / i just wanna spend my time with you, girl: The other song I'm shocked (shocked!) that no one got. Not that I expect anyone to have the album memorized, but, really, with so many of you with some sort of roots in popslash, it could have been possible that the (unfortunate) sentiment + the world/girl rhyme + the context combo alone would have computed into an eerie sense of... something. - Also, you know how sometimes song-makers make songs that make you want their song-making privileges revoked until they promise never to do it again?
