I'm reading Alias Grace again, and, surprise, enjoying it as is, despite the over-enthusiastically (is that a word?) underlined Very Important Passages on every single page... Oryx and Crake freaked me out in the summer when I couldn't stop reading it like a school assignment, but maybe I should give it another try now. Yeah, I don't know. I'm reading so little right now anyway that it's quite depressing.
Here's a number of other things that are funny:
I look for balance in ways that make no sense.
Trains and trams look unfriendly still these days, and they're coming to cut you in pieces.
I'm sure I'm more transparent than I'd like to be.
I wish someone would write me a story that uses the word "libertine". Or "rake".
