Without my precious broadband, I don't have the time to actually read anything on my friendslist (esp. when I spend my few mins on updating instead) but still manage to catch glimpses of everything whizzing by, and, you know, that bugs the sense out of me for some reason. Come and see the picture of addiction, or something.

The too-often repeated fact: that everything I write is (empty) parody because I can't find the supposed actual behind the parody, as admirably demonstrated by any given entry in my livejournal.
The newly thought-of possibility: that I'm also incapable of existing as anything besides a parody of the supposed actual me forever out of reach.

Yesterday felt like a good day to mock

my inexplicable fondness for JC's lyrics, so instead of paying attention in class, I did some translating (always a sobering exercise, that), and, I'm happy to report, for my own benefit, that "Space Cowboy" makes for a very nicely bombastic, outright Runebergian (read up on your Finnish lit history, peeps) battle march.
Except for the bits that are still all about sex. Don't think there's a language in the world that could rid a JC song of The Sex.
