Now I'm smoking Lights again after an embarrassing year or so of dabbling with the Ultra Lights. I feel like I've graduated. Except - menthol. Why? I swore I'd never get into that stuff, because it's eeevil... I really like to talk about smoking. I really like to talk about Justin Timberlake although I try not to. I talk about him to my mother, people. But I never talk to her about smoking.
And maybe this isn't exactly the best forum to ask but just in case: Now that everybody and their muppet-shaped sock puppet are publishing academic material on fanfic and slash and such, does anyone know whether there's anything at all out there on RPF? Or, alternately, a really nice and readable basic look into the structural differences between written and spoken English? I go to school, I'm curious, honestly I am.

It's called "Private Uses of Cyberspace: Women, Desire and Fan Culture" by Sharon Cumberland of Seattle University. It was up on the "Media in Transition" site at MIT but I noticed the URL I have no longer works... Still, you could try giving it a search... She wrote it about Antonio Banderas fic.
